Parents Community Association
What is the Parent Community Association (PCA)?
The purpose of the PCA is to provide a structure through which the parents/ guardians of children attending The Children's House Montessori School we can work together for the best possible education and welfare of their children.
The number one reason to join the Parent Community Association is to benefit your child. There are many PCA advantages:

Get Connected. There's no better way to know what's happening in your school.

Discover Great Resources. The PCA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.

Tap into a Network. PCA functions are opportunities to meet other parents, you can share your ideas and experiences.

Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PCA, you put your skills and ho9bbies to use for a noble cause- your child and all children in the community.

Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child's school you'll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. PCA play an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and play an important role in fundraising for curriculum-based programs and social events.

Be a Role Model. By becoming a PCA member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
The objectives of the Parent Community Association will be as follows

To work as a team and to have a yearly plan.

To help plan and carry-out programme of activities for the year, in consultation with the Principal and to run activities that involve parents and children.

To help raise funds for the PCA, in consultation with the Principal.

To keep parents informed about activities planned for the school.

To ensure equal participation by all parents.
What is NOT the role of the PCA?

To get involved in individual complaints.

Day to day running of the school

Appointment of teachers

Carrying out activities without consultation with the Principal

Portraying the school, its staff, the school's leadership team and pupils in a negative manner.
The Children's House's leadership team and staff are so grateful for all the wonderful engagement opportunities the PCA provides, and encourage you to join in when you can - your children love to know you are involved.
